Assistant Regional Director (ARD) Glen Borlaza Cambray entered the portals of COA Regional Office No. XIII on October 2, 2023, bringing with him an unwavering commitment to excellence. In less than a year, his dedication and exceptional service were recognized with a promotion on September 30, 2024, from OIC-ARD to full-fledged ARD of COA Region XIII, where he continues to serve with distinction.

A Certified Public Accountant and Certified Fraud Examiner, ARD Glen also holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration from San Nicolas College in Surigao City and pursued Bachelor of Laws at Father Saturnino Urios University. Further strengthening his credentials, he completed the Senior Executive Development Program (SEDP), graduating on August 29, 2019—a testament to his drive for growth and learning.

ARD Glen’s career with the Commission on Audit began on April 13, 1998, as Support Staff in the Office of the Supervising Auditor. Through hard work and a notable track record, he steadily rose through the ranks—from Audit Team Member to Supervising Auditor. His leadership as Supervising Auditor in the Local Government Audit Sector (LGAS) – Province of Surigao del Sur resulted in high-quality audits and numerous significant accomplishments that made an impact within COA Region XIII.

In pursuit of professional excellence, ARD Glen sought international training, attending the Audit of Public Sector Enterprises course in India (August 9 – September 3, 2010), which sharpened his expertise in Accounting and Auditing. Additionally, on July 16, 2018, he was assigned as a member of the audit team for the Philippine Embassy in Kuwait, a role he fulfilled diligently from November 3-16, 2018.

At the age of 49, ARD Glen is distinguished by his exceptional initiative, deep commitment, and strong allegiance to COA’s mission. Over his 26 years in COA, he has predominantly served in the Local Government Audit Sector, with brief assignments in the Corporate Government Audit and the National Government Audit Sectors. His team’s dedication to timely, quality audits earned them the prestigious Gawad Kahusayan Award, underscoring ARD Glen’s remarkable impact on the sector.

Beyond his professional achievements, ARD Glen is blessed with a loving, God-centered family. His wife, Imie, and their four children—Glemerd, Daniel, Sybil, and Sophie—remain his steadfast support and inspiration, sharing in the pride of his accomplishments. With an unwavering dedication to public service, ARD Glen Borlaza Cambray continues to be a pillar of excellence and commitment in COA Region XIII.
